Alan Paluska

Alan Paluska is a co-founder of PowerOne Logistics LLC and shares responsibility for all aspects of the Company’s operations.

Alan has significant experience in the trucking and freight industry with a specialty in transportation execution. Prior to co-founding PowerOne, Alan served as a professional services manager for Carrierpoint, where he led several large consulting initiatives that delivered millions of dollars in quantifiable savings to shipping customers. Alan also designed and implemented technology solutions for some of the largest freight brokers and shippers in North America. Additionally, Alan grew up working for his wife’s family’s trucking firm in Atlanta, Georgia. This experience gives Alan a unique knowledge base when working with carriers at PowerOne.

Alan received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

Doug Martin

Doug Martin is a co-founder of PowerOne Logistics LLC and shares responsibility for all aspects of the Company’s operations.

Doug brings over 23 years of experience in implementing corporate strategies and building financial operations in entrepreneurial companies, including his tenure as Chief Financial Officer of CarrierPoint. Since leaving CarrierPoint, Doug has served as Chief Financial Officer of several start-up organizations in the financial services and technology industries. Doug also served for fifteen years as the Chief Financial Officer of The Prudential Bank, Prudential Financial Inc.’s entry into the retail and commercial banking businesses. He held full financial responsibility from the bank’s start-up to a period when managed assets reached $3 billion and revenues exceeded $175 million.

Doug received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Doug is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

 

John Thomson

John Thomson is a co-founder of PowerOne Logistics LLC.

Before PowerOne Logistics, John co-founded CarrierPoint, a technology provider that improves shippers’ warehousing and logistics operations, and ultimately sold the company to Transcore Commercial Services. While at TransCore John grew his division’s sales by over 600% including managing the acquisition of IntelliTrans, a $45 million rail technology company.  John previously worked at Diamond Technology Partners in their technology implementation practice, The Summit Group as a project manager of TMS implementations and in additional logistics-related roles with FedEX, Fritz Companies, and Rocky Mountain Helicopters.  John received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from Georgia State University.

John is now actively engaged in several entreprenurial ventures in Salt Lake City, and remains a trusted advisor to PowerOne Logistics.
